    that room looks draughty - fascinating corners, ledges, i see a screen/veil - any detail shots?

    draughty...yes, I wonder if that's why she spends her time whittling, to caulk the seams? This is a cardboard idea of the space in which Cranach's Melancholia finds herself lodged. It seems quite still, despite the devil riding the storm and the swinging putti. There's more possibility of a draught than in the Durer though, that seems a very hermetic space, stifling even...
